Steal My Email Format That Actually Gets Clicks, Replies, and Sales

Let’s be honest… most emails don’t get read.

They get skimmed, ignored, or deleted in about 2 seconds.

But every once in a while, you open an email, keep reading, click something, maybe even reply… and that’s the difference between sending emails and using email as a real marketing tool.

This is the exact format I use at Bloom Digital Creatives. It’s simple, repeatable, and built around one thing: real human connection + clear value.

Tell Them What’s Inside (So Nothing Gets Missed)

This is one of my favorite parts of my emails, and honestly, most people aren’t doing this.

At the top, I quickly share what’s inside the email.

Not in a boring list… but in a way that feels natural.

Because here’s the reality:
You don’t know what someone is opening your email for.

What if the one thing they care about is at the bottom?

If they don’t see it right away, they’ll never get there.

When you guide them through what’s inside, you increase:

  • scroll time
  • clicks
  • and overall engagement

You’re basically saying, “Hey, don’t miss this part.”

Start with a Real, Human Intro

This is the part most people skip… and it’s the most important.

Your email shouldn’t feel like a newsletter. It should feel like a message.

I always open with something conversational and personal. Sometimes it’s about:

  • what’s been going on in business
  • a recent trip
  • my kids’ baseball schedule
  • or just life feeling busy

Why? Because people connect with people.

Your audience is not opening your email because they’re dying to hear your “announcement.” They’re opening it because they recognize your name and feel something when they see it.

When you remind them there’s a real person behind the screen, you build trust without trying so hard.

And trust is what gets people to keep reading.

Share What’s Happening (With a Clear Call to Action)

This is where you talk about:

  • upcoming events
  • launches
  • offers
  • things you want people to do

But here’s the key… don’t overcomplicate it.

Keep it clear. Keep it relevant. Keep it easy to act on.

If you’re hosting something, say it.
If there’s a deadline, say it.
If there’s one spot left, say it.

People don’t need fluff. They need clarity.

Repurpose Your Social Content

You are already creating content… use it.

I always include a section with reels or posts we’ve recently shared. Because guess what?

Most people didn’t see them.

Algorithms don’t show everything. Email fills that gap.

This does two things:

  1. Extends the life of your content
  2. Gives your audience more ways to engage with you

And it takes almost no extra effort.

Always Include Something Educational

This is what keeps people subscribed.

If every email is just “buy this” or “come to this,” people will tune out.

You need to give them a reason to stay.

That can look like:

  • a quick tip
  • a mindset shift
  • something you’ve learned
  • a behind-the-scenes insight

It doesn’t have to be long or complicated.

It just has to make them think:
“That was actually helpful.”

Close with Social Proof (Sometimes)

You don’t need this in every email, but when you include it, it works.

A quick testimonial reminds people:

  • you’re trusted
  • you get results
  • other people are already saying yes

And it reinforces everything you’ve shared above without you having to say it yourself.

Why This Format Works

Because it’s not just an email. It’s an experience.

You’re:

  • connecting as a human
  • guiding their attention
  • giving value
  • and making it easy to take action

All in one place.

Final Thought

If your emails feel like they’re not working, it’s usually not because email is “dead.”

It’s because they don’t feel like something worth opening.

Start thinking less like a marketer and more like a person sending a message.

Because at the end of the day, the emails that get opened, read, and clicked…

feel like they were meant to be read. Need help strategizing, creating, writing, formatting, editing, and staying committed to sending emails? Let chat: info@bloomdigitalcreatives.com
