Why I’m Telling Every Business Owner to Be on TikTok (Yes… Even You)

If you’ve talked to me for more than 30 seconds lately, you already know: I’m telling everyone and their mother to get on TikTok.

And before you roll your eyes or throw your phone across the room because “Elyssa, it’s so unpredictable!”… trust me, I get it. TikTok is the wild west of social media. One day you’re getting two views and questioning your entire life, and the next you’re at 200,000 views wondering if you’ve been secretly famous this whole time.

So, let’s talk about it.

Yes, TikTok Can Be Frustrating, But It’s Also Powerful

Here’s the annoying truth about TikTok: We don’t always know what’s going to get pushed out.

You and I can post the cutest, funniest, most brilliant video we’ve ever made… and TikTok will respond with: “Okay bestie, enjoy your 6 views.”

But then you’ll post something random you filmed in your car with decent lighting and unwashed hair, and THAT’S the video TikTok is like, “Launch it to the masses!!”

It makes no sense. But also… it kind of does.

Because TikTok doesn’t care how perfect your video is. It cares if people watch it. And the first 30 minutes after you post are EVERYTHING. That’s when TikTok’s little algorithm elves decide whether your video is interesting enough to push out to more people.

Which is why… say it with me: consistency matters. TikTok won’t take you seriously if you show up once every three weeks like, “Heyyyy guys miss me??”

TikTok Can Become a Whole New Revenue Stream

And THIS is the part business owners sleep on.

TikTok isn’t just for dancing teenagers or people making smoothie bowls. It’s for service providers. It’s for coaches. It’s for creators. It’s for local businesses. It’s for YOU.

Here’s how TikTok actually turns into revenue:

Brand Deals & Partnerships

Once you grow an audience, even a small one, brands will pay you to create videos. You don’t need 100k followers. Brands care about engagement, niche, and personality (which you already have).

Selling Your Services

TikTok makes you discoverable. People watch your content, connect with your vibe, trust your expertise, and *boom* a new client inquiry shows up in your inbox.

TikTok Shop (if it fits your biz)

Creators are literally earning commissions just by sharing products they like. Not to brag or anything, but I made 70 cents this week on TikTok Shop.

Driving Traffic to Other Platforms

Podcast? Email list? Instagram? TikTok is the freeway. Everything else is the exit ramp.

Final Thoughts (aka Tough Love)

If TikTok feels overwhelming, unpredictable, or straight-up chaotic, that’s normal. It is chaotic, and to be honest, I’m still figuring it out. But it’s also one of the biggest opportunities online right now.

And at the end of the day, you don’t need to go viral. You just need to show up consistently and let the algorithm do its weird little magic.

So yes… I’m telling everyone to be on TikTok. Not because it’s trendy, but because it works.

And if you need help figuring out what to post without losing your sanity? That’s literally what Bloom Digital Creatives exists for. We take this off your plate so you can stop stressing and start showing up.

Now go post your TikTok. Even if it’s messy. Even if you have no idea what you’re doing yet.

And PLEASE report back!
