As a content creator and strategist, I’m always on the lookout for tools that make content creation easier, faster, and—let’s be honest—look better. I’ve tested a lot of products over the years (some great, some… not so great), and these five have earned a permanent spot in my content kit.
Whether you’re a business owner DIY-ing your social media or just love good lighting, here are a few of my go-to tools, and yes, they’re all from Amazon.
1. Ring Light Tripod

I’ve been through several ring lights and while this one isn’t the fanciest, it gets the job done for the price. It’s adjustable, easy to move around, and gives off just enough light for those sit-down videos or desk setups. A solid, affordable staple.
2. Phone Ring Light

This one is my party trick, I get asked about it everywhere I go. It clips right onto your phone and gives your selfies or videos a boost of glow without any setup required. Honestly, it’s a game changer for content on the go or dimly lit restaurants.
3. Small Clip-On Light

This little cutie works great on your phone or your computer. I use it for quick selfie videos, Zoom calls, or when I just need a soft light without dragging out my full setup. Compact, bright, and super easy to use.
4. Clip-On Microphones (Set of 2)

If you’re filming in a space with background noise (hello, real life), these mics are a must. They plug right into your phone, and the audio quality is so much better than your built-in mic. You get two for just $12, which is a total steal.
5. Backdrop Box

Perfect for product and food photography, this backdrop box makes everything look clean and professional without having to set up an entire shoot. Just pop your item in, find your light, and snap away. I love using it for client flat lays or quick branded content.
Final Thoughts
You don’t need a massive studio or fancy equipment to create scroll-stopping content, just a few well-chosen tools and a little creativity. These are the items I actually use, recommend, and keep stocked in my content bag at all times.
